Common questions

Does Wordlings need the internet or an account?
No. It works offline, and an account is optional. Only purchases and sync need a connection.

What does Family Plus add?
Every word in every level, for 1, 2, or 3 or more children. Without it you get the first 15 words of every level and every game and review, for one child.

How do I restore or cancel a purchase?
In Grown-ups, tap Restore purchases. To cancel a subscription, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. Deleting the app or the account doesn't cancel it.

Where are the settings?
On the home screen, tap Grown-ups. There you can change the voice, word level, game clock, sounds and new words a day, add a school word list, or go through setup again.

The words are too easy or too hard.
In Grown-ups, change the word level or run the word check again.

The game clock is too fast.
In Grown-ups, set the game clock to Slower or Off.

My child flagged something.
Flag reports stay on the device. If something looks wrong, email us and tell us the word and the game.

How do I erase my child's data?
Without an account, delete the app: everything Wordlings saved on this device goes with it. With an account, go to Grown-ups > Account > Delete account. See the privacy policy.

How do I stop the newsletter?
Every letter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

The word pictures in the app previews on this site come from the app's picture set. Many are from OpenMoji, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0, including the footprints, ring buoy, pyramids, eyes, thinking face and face with hand over mouth. Others are from Openclipart (CC0). In the app, each picture is credited in Grown-ups > Picture credits.
